I do have checkpoints in my life. That’s when I feel like things could be better but are not, and some days I am not living to the fullest. we live in a society where we communicate with a lot of people and we spend our days and hours with them but sometimes when we look back and compare who we talk to and who we are dealing with , we realize that not all those people are worth spending time with, that we can’t learn anything from them, that their world is a small box with wrong limitations that has been stopping them from being better. To me, human’s life is like water, when the water stands still and don’t move, it goes stagnant.
But I do think I need changes in my own life at this point and by that I don’t mean some little silly changes in behavior , or in where I live, and how I live or what I do because I am happy with what I am doing and where I am going …..I need change in how I operate, in how I perceive things, how i deal with things, and who i communicate with and of course in how I can make it easier on others who is going through this life with me “Schattenjager”. Because if we don't have the right attitude for life , no matter where we are and how we live , we are miserable every moment of it, and I do believe, it is our decisions -not the conditions of our lives - that determines our destiny!!!!!!
“A couple of hundred years ago, Benjamin Franklin shared with the world the secret of his success. Never leave that till tomorrow, he said, which you can do today. This is the man who discovered electricity. You think more people would listen to what he had to say. I don't know why we put things off, but if I had to guess, I'd have to say it has a lot to do with fear. Fear of failure, fear of rejection, sometimes the fear is just of making a decision, because what if you're wrong? What if you're making a mistake you can't undo? He who hesitates is lost. We can't pretend we hadn't been told. We've all heard the proverbs, heard the philosophers, heard our grandparents warning us about wasted time, heard the damn poets urging us to seize the day. Still sometimes we have to see for ourselves. We have to make our own mistakes. We have to learn our own lessons. We have to sweep today's possibility under tomorrow's rug until we can't anymore. Until we finally understand for ourselves what Benjamin Franklin really meant. That knowing is better than wondering, that waking is better than sleeping, and even the biggest failure, even the worst, beat the hell out of never trying.”
